What you get

Everything you need to plan and record your fire door checks, and to show you've done them. Here's each part, using a made-up sample building.

Door register

Every fire door in one register

List each communal fire door once, with a reference, where it is, what type it is and how it closes. Flat entrance doors are listed flat by flat.

  • Add doors one at a time or several at once
  • Stair, lobby and corridor doors, plus doors to plant rooms, cupboards and risers
  • How each door closes: self-closing, on a hold-open device or kept locked shut
  • The latest result shown against every door

Set it up once, then use it for every check.

Communal checks

3-monthly checks on your phone

Walk round the building with your phone. Each door has a short checklist based on the government's fire door guidance, and you answer pass, fail or not applicable.

  • Damage, glazing, hinges, seals, gaps and the self-closing test
  • The right checks for doors on hold-open devices, double doors and plant room doors
  • Anything that fails needs a note of what needs doing
  • Progress shown as you go, for example 7 of 12 doors checked

Large buttons, made for checking on the move.

Flat entrance doors

Every flat door, and every attempt to get in

Regulation 10 requires you to use best endeavours to check every flat entrance door each year, and to keep a record of the steps you take. Each flat shows whether it's checked, in progress or access not granted.

  • Record checks from both sides of the door
  • Log letters, emails, calls and visits against each flat
  • Mark access as not granted once you've tried
  • A running count of checked, outstanding and not granted flats

Your best-endeavours record builds as you go.

  • Explains why the check matters and what it involves
  • Up to three appointment options
  • Reminds residents to keep fire doors shut and report faults
  • Log every letter as sent in one click

One A4 page per flat, ready to print.

  • Repairs recorded against each fault
  • The access steps for every flat
  • CSV export for your fire safety file
